  14 proposals cleared by Goa's industrial panel

Goa government's high power committee on industrial projects cleared 14 proposals with an estimated investment of Rs 243 crore. The projects include bus body-building, pharma companies and packaging and manufacture of aluminium cables.

The Automobile Corporation of Goa Ltd (ACGL) is investing Rs 10.65 crore to increase its capacity of bus body-building from current 4,200 to 5,000 a year.

Smartlink Network System Ltd is investing around Rs 40 crore for the manufacture of structured cabling products and computer networking products in their two plots in Verna industrial estate of south Goa. Nestle India Ltd is expanding its south Goa plant where it is investing Rs 58.72 crore for manufacture of wafers. Glenmark is investing Rs 3.30 crore for pharma plant and another Rs 1.28 crore for microlab at Kundaim in Central Goa. Marksons has proposed to invest Rs 29.50 crore. Pentair Water India Pvt Ltd is going for expansion and manufacture of new products on which it is investing Rs 22.20 crore in the Verna industrial estate.
