  Ushdev to expand wind power capacity

Ushdev International Ltd has placed an order on Kenersys India, for turnkey installation of four wind turbines having a capacity of 2 MW each. The project will be installed in Satara District, Maharashtra and will be commissioned by the second quarter of the financial year 2011.

This will add 8 MW to the company's existing capacity, apart from the purchase contracts with Vestas.

The company has changed the order to 13.20 MW instead of 16.50 MW. Thus, Ushdev will have total wind power generation capacity of 22.83 MW in Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Gujarat, Vestas – 13.2 MW in Tamil Nadu and Kenersys – 8 MW in Maharashtra.
