Adani Power Ltd (APL) has been shortlisted along with three other international bidders to set up a 1,000 MW coal-fired power plant in European nation Kosovo. The Kosovo government has requested the shortlisted bidders to submit detailed project proposals. Tenders will be published in April 2010 and final bidder will be selected in July. The plant will be located near Pristina.

The other three bidders are US-based AES with Turkey's Demir Export, Turkey's Park Holding and a consortium of US-UK Contour Global with Greece's public power company.

APL is a subsidiary of the Adani Group with diverse interests in global trading, development and operation of ports, oil refining, logistics, gas distribution and power generation, transmission and trading.
